Executive board (Eboard) Positions: The Eboard is a group of PTA members that work on discussing the PTA as a whole and making decisions together. We discuss the PTA budget, surplus and plan the events/programs for the year to come. We discuss current and past events and their success. Our programs make HH both fun and enriching for the students.
OPEN SPOTS ON EBOARD: President Elect: want to get involved with the bigger picture oversee the ins and outs of the PTA; sign up for this position so you can shadow the PTA president so you are ready to take over as the PTA President for the 2014-2015 school year. Interested, but don’t want to do it alone share the President position with a friend or neighbor! 2nd VP: Like the fun and fund raisers the PTA offers during the year? Want to help oversee their success? Have ideas on how our events can be more fun and exciting or ideas for new events? If yes, join our 2nd VP team which consists of two people! This is a 2 year commitment. |
| **Eboard meetings occur once a month and every other month you there is a general PTA meeting. Eboard members are required to attend all meetings unless there are extenuating circumstances!Standing Committee Chairs needed for 2013-2014 School Year:
End of School Year Bonfire: Contact the town of Fairfield on January 2nd to reserve the Jennings Beach bonfire area. Advertise the event in the howl and work with your volunteers to get needed supplies for this Free event! Halloween Dance (Co-chair needed): want to plan the next Halloween event for the students at Holland Hill with a co-chair? We have a mom looking for a partner to make this event a great success! Holiday Boutique: Help put together a boutique for the children to buy gifts for their loved ones. It would be great for someone who enjoys shopping or a group of friends that enjoy shopping! Ice Skating Outing: contact and reserve the Westport Pal Rink for a Saturday in January. Advertise and sell tickets for the event. Junior Great Books: this is a winter book club/reading program. Where students read a short story and meet once a week during recess to discuss it. Each grade needs a volunteer so this chair would help get the volunteers and students signed up for this program. Hospitality Committee: is looking for two more members. This committee helps arrange for refreshments and several of the Holland Hill Events; back to school teacher lunch, back to school breakfast, first PTA meeting; to name a few. Talent Show: This long time Holland Hill tradition is an event to see. This committee would be great for two people that would like to co-chair it.
