PTA NEWS!
From Mr. Arnone:
Grade 3, 4 and 5 Families-Please read the attached letter and calendar regarding the upcoming administration of the Connecticut Mastery Tests.
2nd Grade Families
Monday, March 1st is a very important day in the lives of Holland Hill 2nd Graders!! On that day they will learn to read music (specifically, rhythm notation). You are invited to join us for your child’s music class to observe the process in action. (The process is based on Music Learning Theory, a scientifically research-based approach which is similar to the language learning sequence.)
The class schedule is:
2B 1:00 – 1:30 P.M.
2Ba 1:30 – 2:00 P.M.
2W 2:05 – 2:35 P.M.
These classes will take place in the music portable. Please sign in at the main entrance and proceed straight ahead and outside to the portable. I also request that you enter the portable at the assigned starting time and exit at the conclusion as late arrivals, etc. will be a distraction. Younger siblings are also welcome as long as they remain quiet.
Thank you, Jon Noyes
