From Your Principal:
Dear Holland Hill Families:
On Friday, May 25, 2012 at 8:45 a.m., we will celebrate Patriots Day at Holland
Hill. This is also our “Special Person’s Day”. The rain date for this celebration
will be on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. There will be chairs set up around the flagpole
in the front of the building for the ceremony.
On that day, we plan to celebrate our Holland Hill Community for all that it has
given in the name of service and country. What better time to honor this than
during the Friday before Memorial Day. This is the day in which we honor those
who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country in defense of our freedom. We plan
to celebrate our patriotism through special speeches and songs.
We also plan to honor members of our Holland Hill Community who have relatives currently
active in our Military. If a member of your family or other relative is currently
active in the Military and you would like to have their service acknowledged, please
complete and return the form below before May 24, and do plan on being present on
May 25 at 8:45 a.m. at the Flag Pole. Please see the attached letter for more information
on this.
There is also a security form on Page 2 of the attached letter,. If you or other
members of your family plan on visiting in the building on this day, please complete
a form for each family member or friend for admission to the building. We will
depend on you to see that only authorized individuals receive the forms entrusted
to you. Visitors will be asked to show this admission pass and all will enter through
the main door and will be
photographed by our security camera.
Sincerely,
Frank Arnone

to download a form. DVD sales are extended through this week!
and thank you…
Once again the show was a success and had attending parents, friends and family
laughing and cheering. A very special thanks to Laura Roberts, Leah Adintori and
Paula Landesberg for saving the day with the show. If it wasnt for these dedicated
moms the show would “not have gone on” due to lack of volunteers. Thanks again
and we hope you enjoyed the show.
If anyone is interested in planning the talent show for the 2012/2013 school year
please come forward now so we can be sure to save the show for next year. If we
dont have volunteers we can not plan for this very special event. Thank you!
Please contact
marissa_christina@yahoo.com if you would like to help volunteer.

Capri Sun Recycling UPDATE
THANK YOU to all the students and families that have helped Holland Hill collect
529 empty “Capri Sun” and “Honest Kids” Drink Packets!!!!
We need to reach 2,000 for Holland Hill to collect any funds for our efforts so
PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
How do you send in your empty packets from home??? Simply place them in a sealed
plastic bag and send them in via backpack. There is a collection container in the
APR for the students to place empty packets from lunch. If you have too many to
send in via backpack CONTACT Jenn Buonincontri at JMHill22@Yahoo.com . Wondering
how to help with this initiative over the summer? Simply contact me – I am happy
to collect the empty packets when school is out of session!
REMEMBER, it takes over 100 years for a single drink packet to BEGIN to break down
in a landfill. We can re-purpose the plastic packet and raise funds for HH all at
the same time!
